John Juanda (continued)...

As I was saying before, I spoke with John
via email regarding this situation, and he had this to say...
Hi Chuck,
Thank you very much for your concerns. I am very fortunate
to find out
that all my family and friends are fine because most of
them live
inland, (and) not on the coast. But my prayers go to the
20,000+ who aren't as fortunate.

John also had this to say on his website...
Tsunami Disaster in Asia
Since the tragedy on Sunday, I've received a lot of emails
from concerned friends and fans enquiring about my loved
ones in Indonesia. I am deeply touched by the kindness,
concern, and generosity that many of you have expressed.
I am extremely fortunate to have experienced no personal
loss of family or friends in Indonesia, but my prayers go
out to those who are grieving, and to those struggling to
get through these next difficult weeks.
Some of you have asked about donating money. There are
many worthy charities to choose from. My suggestion is to
be sure to select an approved charity and not to be taken
in by scammers. There is a good list of charities here:

Thank you again for all your kind words and letters. They
remind me that the world is full of good people.
Best,
John Juanda
As we can all see, this monumental event
has struck the entire world, even we Poker Players. I hope
we all give as deeply as we can to the charities John mentioned,
and that the well over 100,000 gone are in our prayers,
or our chosen methods of worship or reflection.
